The Chloé KATTIE
Ebonee Emani crushes on the return of a Chloé favourite
There’s nothing more accessible than being able to wear three accessories in one. And that’s just what the Chloe KATTIE bag makes possible. When being used as a clutch, the distinctive articulated bracelet, made from a combination of leather, walnut wood and brass, sits on the hand in a deliciously feminine way. When your hands need to be free, KATTIE can also be worn as a cross body or shoulder bag. Adding the finishing touch, the SS22 bag is showcased in three different stitch types – straight, blanket and whipstitches that frame the edges. Setting a natural aesthetic tone to the warm weather seasons, the also KATTIE comes in a variety of summer colours, such as rusted orange, sepia brown, amber olive, burning caramel, black, soft tan and ebony brown.
For the campaign images, Native Saint Lucian model Shala Monroque is captured in her local scenery by film and photography duo Jalan and Jibril Durimel. We see the Piton Mountains in Soufrière and the Dorée River, as Monroque enjoys the landscape carrying a straight-stitch KATTIE paired with a yellow tailored jacket and matching silk crepe trousers. In another look she wears a light crepe, sleeveless dress with ribbons that follow the breeze to frame another bag in beautiful tan leather. The craft of Chloe and the creativity of the lens in Durimel hands combine to deliver a real story of summer accessorising.
Best of all, Chloé worked with Leather Working Group (LWG) certified leather manufacturers for all KATTIE bags. In line with the entire luxury goods industry moving towards more sustainable practices, LWG certifies tanneries based on their water and energy usage, management of chemicals, solid waste, and wastewater. So not every little luxury has to cost too much.
