adidas Spezial and C.P. Company Capsule Collection

Parallel to an era that sees the two brands commonly pieced together amongst their respective audiences, adidas Spezial and C.P. Company recently re-joined forces to commemorate the 50th anniversary of the honourable Italian casualwear label.  The new capsule collection is titled ‘Cinquanta’ and as part of the launch, England and Manchester United footballer Luke Shaw can be seen depicted in a giant piece of artwork on the side of the old NatWest building in Darwen, Lancashire – birthplace of Spezial head honcho, Gary Aspden.

Cloaked in premium leather, the shoe from the collection features an icy white upper with contrast militant greens featured on the tongue, heel counter and, of course adidas’ own signature three-stripe branding.  With touches of suede and gold foil C.P. Company accents, this special Spezial gives way to the Torino red and green stripes on the sole, with placement ever-so coordinated the vintage adidas silhouette exclaims Forza Italia!  The timeless classic has been reworked enough to make wandering eyes linger and ponder the familiarity.

Alongside the sneakers is the two-piece camouflage Haslingden Jacket with ‘C.P. COMPANY’ and ‘adidas’ logo patches stitched onto the front, a multitude of pockets and, of course, a unique one-off badge featuring both C.P.’s logo and the now iconic adidas Trefoil emblem.  With C.P. Company’s renowned expertise in outerwear, the jacket has been crafted from 50 Fili – an exclusive C.P. Company fabric – and features a minty green insulated down jacket as a detachable underlay; lined to keep you stylishly warm in winter’s coldest months.

With beautiful stills from photographer Kevin Cummins, and Luke Shaw’s rugged features as the face of the collection, the collaboration is set to arrive in limited quantities on October 14th, exclusively through flagship C.P. Company stores as well as END. Clothing.
